Mahler Leads ADS to First Alert Awards
Mel Mahler awarded 2008 First Alert Professional Medal of Honor; ADS Security named 2008 Dealer of the Year.
I've had the pleasure of knowing Mel Mahler for many years, and the benefit of learning from his entrepreneurial knowledge and industry vision. When I saw the news this week that he had been awarded top honors at last month's First Alert Professional conference, I couldn't have been happier for him and the team at ADS.
Mahler, who is chairman and CEO at ADS Security, based in Nashville, was awarded the 2008 First Alert Professional Medal of Honor, in recognition of his service in promoting the First Alert / Honeywell Security dealer network, during the First Alert Professional Convention which was held in mid-November in Orlando, Fla.
ADS Security received eight prestigious awards, including the 2008 Dealer of the Year Award. ADS Security also received the 2008 Circle of Excellence Award for quality of service and contributions to the First Alert Professional Program; 2008 Customer Service Excellence Award for exceptional customer service; 2008 Marketing Excellence Award for impact in marketing; 2008 Technical Service Award for innovation in technical services; and 2008 Sales Leader of the Year Award, presented to Tom Szell, regional vice president for ADS Security.
Further, ADS Security recently joined the First Alert Professional 10 Year Club for being instrumental to the success of the First Alert Professional Program for over the past 10 years.
“ADS Security has been awarded Dealer of the Year four times, but this was the first time we were recognized since being elevated to the largest dealer category,” Mahler said. “We have also received the Medal of Honor three times. Along with the other awards we received at the convention, we are truly honored and are thankful for the quality of the ADS Security Team that makes these accomplishments possible.”
First Alert Professional, a Honeywell authorized dealer program, includes more than 500 First Alert dealers in the U.S., Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America.
