Toshiba and Galaxy Control Systems Develop New Software Module

Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group, Irvine, Calif., announced a strategic partnership with Galaxy Control Systems, Walkersville, Md. The collaboration calls for the joint development of software that integrates Toshiba’s Surveillix digital video recorders with Galaxy’s System Galaxy access control systems in the form of hardware/software packages or software-only solutions for analog and IP-addressable camera technologies.

As part of the collaboration, Toshiba and Galaxy joined forces in the development of a software module that adds verification and consolidated management control for Toshiba Surveillix DVRs, along with added capabilities to Galaxy’s access control solutions. The module is available to users of System Galaxy Version 7 and Version 8 security management systems, enabling video monitoring, recording, storage, search and playback to become a dynamic, integral component of access control operations.
