The Security Industry Association (SIA) will hold several five-day classroom series programs for its Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) certification program during 2005. The program promotes the professional accreditation of project managers involved in designing and installing security systems.

The programs will cover five modules: security project management; estimating security projects; contracts, codes and risk management; project financial management; and managing the project team.

To ensure that students entering the five-day classroom program have a similar base line of knowledge, students must complete a self-study series beforehand. This reviews topics such as project management fundamentals; backgrounds of CCTV; access control and IP systems and applications; and understanding financial statements.
