HAI Adds Audio/Video Connectivity Partner

July 21, 2011

Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), New Orleans, a manufacturer of integrated automation and security products since 1985, announced that integration has been finalized between HAI Omni and Lumina Family control systems and VIVOTEK IP surveillance solutions.

VIVOTEK’s line of high-definition IP cameras is compatible with HAI’s OmniTouch 10pe Touchscreen, 5.7e Touchscreen, as well as software: Snap-Link Mobile for Android, Snap-Link Mobile for iPhone, and WL3. Users are able to choose from a broad camera selection with features such as H.264 compression, SD card recording, multiple video streams, true day/night, and much more. For information on how to connect VIVOTEK cameras to HAI platforms, please visit: http://kb.homeauto.com/default.asp?id=1189&SID=&Lang=1

“Adding VIVOTEK as a partner will certainly please both our residential and commercial customers,” explained HAI Associate Director of Marketing, Greg Rhoades. “Homeowners and business managers can even use our Snap-Link software applications to pan/tilt/zoom for additional peace of mind.”

VIVOTEK’s camera lineup is one of the most diverse in the industry, with megapixel and HD cameras in outdoor and indoor configurations in form factors such as box, cube, dome and bullet. Key models suitable for the home automation market include the PT7135 indoor pan/tilt camera, IP8132 1-Megapixel cube camera, IP8332 1-Megapixel outdoor bullet camera w/ IR illumination, or FD8134 1-Megapixel indoor dome camera w/ IR illumination.

“We are pleased to partner with HAI, which has a long history in this industry for providing top-end home automation solutions,” said Archie Mandap, Technical Manager at VIVOTEK USA. “Models appropriate for residential installation include dome and cube style cameras that are unobtrusive while providing detailed surveillance video. This alliance makes perfect sense given that we share similar channel partners and that VIVOTEK is always driving to bring additional levels of usability to our customer base.”

HAI products are available through a worldwide network of distributors and installing dealers in more than 80 countries. For more information, please visit www.homeauto.com or a printed copy can be ordered by calling (800) 229-7256, x 226, or emailing sales@homeauto.com.
