At the monthly board of directors meeting in September, the IQ Board approved the recertification of four companies: Action Alarm Systems Corporation, Nottingham, Md.; Maximum Security Solutions, Macon, Ga.; Security Central Network, Lexington, Tenn.; Total Watch Security, Palm Desert, Calif.

There were no negative comments reported from IQ Board Public Safety Directors Joseph Benoit of the Greenwich Fire Dept. and Steve Heggeman of the Baltimore County Alarm Reduction Team.

To ensure that these companies continue to meet the IQ Certification standards, they must annually demonstrate to the Board that they meet the IQ Certification guidelines.

“The IQ Certification Program improves the overall installation quality of electronic security and life safety systems and helps reduce false alarms,” stated IQ chairman Tim Creenan. “These companies have received their certification by adhering to a rigid set of standards and operating procedures that set them above other security alarm companies in the community.”
