Arecont Vision announced the 40-megapixel day/night panoramic camera providing a 180-deg. field of view. The all-in-one AV40185DN SurroundVideo camera is a cost-effective solution for applications where mechanical pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) devices might otherwise have to be used or where multiple cameras would be needed to view expansive coverage areas. The panoramic camera uses four high-sensitivity 10-megapixel sensors, each offering a 3,648 by 2,752 pixel view at 7 fps, for a total image area of 14,592 by 2,752 pixels at 1.5 fps.
