MicroPower’s solar wireless, low-power IP camera is equipped with an IR illuminator for day/night functionality. By utilizing a specifically designed IR illuminator that flashes five times per second, the MPT Helios IR camera consumes less than 1/10th of the power of an industry-standard IP camera and transmits data wirelessly, powered by solar energy, according to the company. An embedded lithium ion battery powers the Helios IR Camera for up to five days on a single charge. The ultra-low power functionality reduces the solar panel size.
