Delta Scientific, Booth 17133 – A crash test of Delta Scientific’s new DSC720-1M bollards, created to stop taller trucks such as those found in Europe and the Mideast from tumbling over anti-terrorist crash-proof bollards, stopped a 15,000 pound (66.7 Km) flatbed truck impacting at 50 miles per hour (80 kph) with a -0.5 meter penetration of the vehicle, creating an M50, P1 ASTM rating. The bollards caused severe damage to the engine and drive train. DSC720 bollards are deployed at U.S. locales, including Federal buildings and Department of Defense installations, as well as at various nations’ embassies and high profile, high-risk facilities.
