Bold Technologies, a provider of central station and PSIM software, held its Bold Users Conference last month at the historic Stanley Hotel in Estes Park.

Many attendees of the event, which was themed “History in the Making,” were new users of the Manitou platform and first-time guests of the conference. According to a release by Bold Technologies, these newcomers were particularly pleased with the networking opportunities; one said, “I didn’t find a single attendee that was unwilling to share information about how they use Bold in their business.”

The Users Conference provided attendees with information and courses on a variety of topics. Some of the most popular events included courses on the upcoming Manitou version NEO, which utilizes cloud-based technology; the interactive courses, which gave attendees the opportunity to learn about Bold products in a hands-on environment; and the business management training from Traction Inc.’s Chris Hallberg, who discussed the Entrepreneurial Operating System and how it benefits companies.

A new component of this year’s conference was the Forum Track, which allowed attendees to come together in discussion groups about a range of topics. This format was very popular. Theresa Ravens from Interface Security said, “I enjoyed the more casual seating arrangement. The classes promoted open discussions.”

Terry Gartman from Hunter Security agreed: “The topics were covered more thoroughly, with more diverse conversations.”

Another new event was the team scavenger hunt. Attendees were divided into seven teams, each team led by a Bold staff member, to compete for prizes at the conclusion of the conference. Teams were given clues about Bold products, sponsors and the Stanley Hotel to solve and earn points for their team. On the final day, the Wolf team, led by Fulfillment Specialist Nial MacDonald, was declared the winner.

Bold Technologies’ President Chuck Speck said, “We received many compliments on both the content and organization of the conference, and it is exciting to see the enthusiasm our customers have for the learning and networking opportunities.”
