Essence Partners With GetSafe

Essence Partners With GetSafe
June 1, 2016

Essence, a provider of IoT, cloud-based connected living solutions, partnered with GetSafe LLC, a home security company, to bring the WeR@Home Smart Living solution to U.S. consumers.

WeR@Home is a fully integrated, user-friendly system for managing security, safety and automation devices in the home. It operates from a single app, incorporating virtually any smart home Z-Wave compatible device, as well as a growing number of cloud-to-cloud integrations such as the Nest Learning Thermostat to enhance the user experience. As an end-to-end connected-living platform, WeR@Home allows service providers the ability to launch and expand their product lines with a single-vendor solution.

“We were acutely focused on finding the easiest to install, do-it-yourself home security solution with the most robust feature set, the highest security protocols, and a partner who understood the segment of the market we’re targeting,” said Kevin Magna, general manager of GetSafe. “We needed a platform we could make our own, exceeding consumer expectations of what a self-installed security system should provide, establishing a foundation for us to pivot to applicable market-driven integrations to expand our offering.”

After more than a year of researching the right partners, GetSafe selected Essence’s technology. It will be delivering a GetSafe branded version of WeR@Home for the DIY home security and automation market, utilizing an extremely intuitive and simple setup. The system, which includes video monitoring services, was set to be launched in the U.S. market during the first quarter of 2016. Users can manage their entire home from mobile apps, and also enjoy 24/7 professional alarm monitoring.

“We are very pleased that GetSafe is leveraging our solutions to expand into the smart home market,” said Yaniv Amir, president of Essence USA. “GetSafe’s go-to-market strategy closely mirrors our own view of the market, and we expect this new venture to be a great success.”
