An investigative piece aired September 6 on Inside Edition highlighting deceptive door knocking sales practices in the security industry.
The four-minute piece will focus on security provider Alder and show, through undercover footage, how one of its Louisville sales managers trained reps to sell deceptively and then practice takeover tactics by door knocking in local neighborhoods. There is an “ambush” interview between the Inside Edition producer and the sales manager as well as written statement from Alder. On camera interviews include the president of the Utah BBB, ADT’s general counsel, and an ADT customer who was victimized by Alder.
