Martin Gren, co-founder of Axis Communications, will be recognized for his dedicated security industry service and leadership at the 2025 SIA Celebrates & Honors event.

Now in its third year, this prestigious awards program highlights the critical role that security technicians play within the industry, celebrating their excellence in the meticulous design, installation and maintenance of security systems that safeguard our communities.

The hearing, “Unmanned and Unchecked: Confronting the Rising Threat of Malicious Drone Use in America,” focused on the growing threat posed by unauthorized and criminal use of uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS) in both domestic and international airspace.

The Lower 900 MHz band is heavily used by “Part 15” security and life safety systems, smart home technology, consumer, and business electronics and more devices that would face harmful interference from NextNav’s high-power usage in the band.

The event, sponsored by the Security Industry Association and in partnership with the ASIS NYC Chapter, will be held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from Nov. 18 – 20.

SIA announced the schedule, speaker lineup, and program for the 2025 Securing New Ground conference, taking place Oct. 14 – 15 in New York City, as well as the first-ever ESG Week Virtual Symposium, taking place Sept. 9 – 11, 2025.

Eight young professionals will receive scholarships presented by SIA and SecuritySpecifiers and providing financial support to attend CONSULT 2025.

IronYun was recognized with the Best New Product honor for its IronYun Vaidio AI Vision Platform 8.0 product at the 2024 SIA New Products and Solutions (NPS) Awards, held yesterday at ISC West. The prestigious Judges’ Choice Award was presented to Swear for the Swear Authenticity Engine product, submitted in the Software category. 

Security LeadHER 2023 will be held June 12-13 at the Hilton Nashville Downtown Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.
