Awardees will receive a $3,000 scholarship to use toward continuing education and professional development courses, SIA program offerings and/or other academic or education programs.
New York small business owners must act by Oct. 31 to apply for the new Retail Security Tax Credit, designed to help them invest in security measures as part of the state’s fiscal year 2025 budget.
Each of the scholarship honorees will be awarded $7,500 to use toward continuing education and professional development courses, conferences or webinars, SIA program offerings, repayment of student loan debt and/or other education or academic pursuits.
The award program, presented by SIA’s RISE community, recognizes 25 new and emerging leaders each year for their impact in advancing the security industry.
The new resource aims to assist companies, individuals, communities and other stakeholders in navigating the complicated grants processes of federal and state government and effectively find and secure grants.
The fundraiser is aligned with the National Association of Workforce Development Professionals’ Workforce Development Month, a campaign to raise awareness about the vital role workforce development plays in strengthening the economy.
