Secuology Inc., Walnut, Calif., a manufacturer of electronic security products, was one of many security companies to participate in the 5th annual Ride for Education program hosted by Security Industry Association (SIA) following ISC West. The one-day ride takes riders to Hoover Dam, moves on towards Overton and continues through the Valley of Fire.
The event raises funds for SIA’s First Responders Education Scholarships. To date the event has raised more than $25,000.
“The Ride for Education has strong coalescence to Secuology’s mission statement where we truly believe education is a fundamental of workmanship excellence,” said Tony Tsai, marketing director at Secuology.
Although the ride is one day, it creates relationships, is fun-filled and generates money for a good cause.
“We recognize that municipal budgets are often limited and funds for training can be scarce,” said Richard Chace, executive director and CEO, The Security Industry Association. “SIA’s First Responders Scholarship is an opportunity for us to give back to the industry and ensure these individuals get the security and life safety training needed to do their jobs.”
