Recently, in conjunction with the Lusax research group out of Lund University, we announced the completion of an analog vs. IP study which concludes that network surveillance system overall cost has now dropped below analog for mid-sized installations. In 2007, we completed a similar study that showed IP-based systems were more cost-efficient for installations of more than 32 cameras. Today, due to improved IP product developments, support and benefits, that number has dropped to more than 14 cameras.
