Dahua Technology has received the Common Criteria (ISO/IEC 15048) EAL 3+ certificate, along with ISO/IEC 27001 for Information Security Management System, ISO/IEC 27701 for Privacy Information Management System, and CSA STAR certifications. 

At least 913 devices manufactured by the Chinese companies were installed in at least 250 Australian government and agency sites.

Hikvision and Dahua have been roiled in controversy for several years as part of the United States government’s ongoing efforts to protect national security by ensuring potentially compromised technology.

The ban allows the Chinese companies to continue selling equipment that has already been authorized for sale in the U.S. 

ONVIF reinstated the companies’ full memberships after the U.S. government adjusted terms of technology sanctions first established in 2019.

Yesterday, on Oct. 7, the Bureau of Industry and Security of the Department of Commerce announced that it will add 28 Chinese governmental and commercial organizations — including Hikvision and Dahua, two of the largest video surveillance manufacturers in the world — to the Entity List for engaging in or enabling activities contrary to the foreign policy interests of the United States. 

Dahua Technology, a manufacturer of video surveillance products, announced a strategic partnership with Pepper, an IoT platform-as-a-service, to allow the integration of its intelligent solutions into Dahua hardware.
