Kansas City-based American Digital Security (ADS), a division of The Kincaid Group, has acquired St. Louis-based Securix. The deal was finalized on Dec. 10, 2021, and the merged operations will allow for direct support of access control, video solutions, systems integration, fire systems, specialized network solutions, and more with combined operations of $26 million and 60 employees.

Securix joins the ADS team and will continue to be recognized as Securix, a division of American Digital Security.

After nearly 40 years in the security industry, and 20 years as president and founder of Securix, Kevin Hughes will join the ADS leadership team.

ADS Founder and Vice President Buddy Mason said, “Kevin and I have worked side-by-side for many years supporting each other’s efforts to provide timely support for our clients across Missouri and Kansas, each providing and servicing similar product-based solutions. Earlier this year, ADS approached Kevin with the idea of a joint-venture partnership acquisition. I believe they make a great fit as they meet our core values and are a family-oriented company. Their customer focus and extreme talent is what we were looking for. Securix is a successful firm with a common vision and a stellar reputation. We welcome them to our team.”
