ProdataKey (PDK), manufacturer of a cloud access control platform built for mobile, announced that the company has once again been named to the Utah 100, MountainWest Capital Network’s (MWCN) annual list of the fastest-growing companies in Utah.

The annual awards event pays tribute to the state’s fastest-growing and most exciting companies in the state, representing a cross-section of industries. Honorees were chosen based on both their percentage and dollar revenue increase between 2017 and 2021.

This marks the seventh consecutive year that Draper, Utah-based PDK has been designated with this elite status. This year, PDK ranked No. 59 out of 100 companies.

To maintain its growth rates, PDK has adeptly responded to shifting market demand for access control capabilities and features, according to an announcement. The company said it was the first to offer the security industry a mobile-first platform, offering complete, anytime, anywhere, system control and management from a small screen.

The 2021 launch of the Red line of OSDP-compliant, multi-technology readers, controllers and credentialing options is credited for helping drive PDK’s sales. The high-security hardware is said to combine simplified installation, superior features, flexible configuration and affordable pricing.

PDK dealers find the solution has opened doors to new customers and markets, including enterprise-scale opportunities, according to the company.

The physical security industry has taken note. This year, its solutions were awarded “Cloud-Based Access Control System of the Year” and “Mobile App of the Year” in separate industry-wide competitions.

Under the leadership of Evan Tree, named president and CEO in early 2022, the company has added numerous positions including expansions to the sales, engineering and marketing teams.

Upon receipt of the award, Tree commented, “I am grateful to MWCN for our continued recognition among the Utah 100, and even more grateful for every member of our exceptional PDK team, who are the reason for our success. I can’t thank them enough for their dedication, resourcefulness, and passion. Our best-in-class access control solution would not be possible without best-in-class employees and partners.”

MWCN is the largest business networking organization in Utah, consisting of entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, consultants, legal professionals, bankers and educators.

“We congratulate all of this year’s Utah 100 companies for building outstanding businesses and making strong contributions to Utah’s economy,” said Jason Roberts, chairman of the MWCN Utah 100 committee. “These companies further advance Utah’s standing as an excellent place to do business.”
