LenelS2 announced its support for employee badges in Apple Wallet within its BlueDiamond experience. LenelS2, a provider of advanced physical security solutions, is a part of Carrier Global Corp., an intelligent climate and energy solutions company. With an employee badge in Apple Wallet, approved employees can easily access corporate spaces from doors and elevators to turnstiles, printers and more with just their iPhone or Apple Watch. To unlock secured areas or resources, approved employees can just hold their iPhone or Apple Watch near the reader.

LenelS2’s NFC solution requires no third-party integrations, reducing the total cost of ownership to end users and creating a safer environment for employee data. If your iPhone needs a charge, your employee badge will still work for up to five hours with Power Reserve. Additionally, this solution eliminates the need for plastic credentials, which can be lost, copied or stolen, creating a breach of security. This solution will require OnGuard version 8.2 or greater with a connection to LenelS2s hosted cloud service, along with BlueDiamond readers with DEV44 firmware or greater.

The BlueDiamond experience with Apple Wallet takes full advantage of the privacy and security features built into iPhone and Apple Watch. They are stored on the device, which means Apple doesn’t see the places the organizations’ employees access, so data is private and secure. And if a user misplaces their iPhone or Apple Wallet, they can use the Find My app to lock and help locate their device and suspend their key or remotely erase the device and its key.

BlueDiamond supporting the employee badge in Apple Wallet is not just an innovation; its a leap into the future of workplace convenience, said Mike Green, commercial solutions leader, LenelS2. This advancement doesnt just open doors - it unlocks a new era of best-in-class, seamless mobile experiences, making work more secure and accessible than ever before.
