Allied Universal, a global security and facility services company, has received the Employer of The Year Award from NextOp, a nonprofit organization that assists military members and veterans find employment.

“Allied Universal is proud to partner with NextOp to support veterans and military members transition into civilian careers,” said Elton Bradley, general manager of Allied Universal’s New Orleans branch. “This collaboration is a testament to our commitment to hiring skilled, dedicated individuals who have served our country. Welcoming veterans into our workforce strengthens our sense of community and unity while setting the bar and exceeding client expectations.”

The award was accepted by members of the Allied Universal team based in New Orleans and included an alumnus of the NextOp program who is currently employed in the company’s central region.

“Our partnership with NextOp is reflective of a larger initiative to provide support to the brave men and women who have served our country,” said Don Tefft, Allied Universal global chief human resources officer. “We are proud to be recognized as a military-friendly employer, and greatly value the contributions our veterans have made within our company and in the communities we safeguard.”

Allied Universal began partnering with NextOp when the organization expanded its services to include Louisiana in 2018. Allied Universal collaborates with the organization in Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma and Arkansas and has since placed more than 158 military members and veterans in both highly skilled roles and managerial positions.

“As we look to the future, Allied Universal will continue to show our appreciation for our veterans and give back in any way we can,” Tefft said. “This partnership continues to support our mission to look to the military community for future employees.”
