Acre Security announced the appointment of Jon Nelson as senior vice president of engineering.

With more than 25 years of experience leading complex product and platform engineering programs, Acre said Nelson brings a deep understanding of what it takes to build secure, scalable technology that adapts to the needs of today — while staying ready for tomorrow.

In his new role, Nelson will lead acre’s global engineering organization with a focus on operational excellence, product lifecycle integration, and platform consolidation. He will focus on modernizing engineering execution across the company’s diverse product lines and aligning product development with business growth and customer success.

Before joining Acre, Nelson led the managed services division of Rockwell Automation’s Digital business, supporting hundreds of enterprise clients across lifecycle management, supply chain, and predictive analytics. He also spent time as a partner at Kalypso, where he championed a multi-year transformation program in the medical sector — reportedly achieving a 75 percent reduction in product change cycle times while standardizing product data and development processes across hardware, software, and firmware.
