Cuba Gooding Jr., along with Jay Stuck and Nancy Chisholm of ADT and the US Olympic Cycling team, present a $15,000 check and several new bicycles to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Carson at the Grand Opening of the ADT Event Center on July 21, 2004. The ADT Event Center, located just south of Los Angeles, is the only indoor velodrome in North America and is the new home of the US Cycling team.
ADT Security Services Inc., Boca Raton, Fla., a part of Tyco Fire and Security, celebrated the grand opening of the ADT Event Center, the only indoor velodrome in the U.S. The occasion included special guests, Cuba Gooding, Jr., and the USA Cycling Team. The event marked the official send off of the USA Cycling Team for their Olympic journey to Athens. The team represents the U.S. in the Summer Olympic Games, and upon their return will make the ADT Event Center their official training facility and home.

The 100,000 sq.ft., $15 million project is the fourth major facility added to the 125-acre Home Depot Center located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills in Carson, Calif. The 250-meter cycling track is North America’s only indoor velodrome.

Special guests of the grand opening event included 200 children from the local Boys and Girls Club of Carson and the City of Carson Parks and Recreation Department.
