Digital Horizon Solutions announces that Eclipse 300 access control has achieved compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directive Number 12 (HSPD-12). Eclipse meets the specified intent of the Federal Information Processing Standard 201 (FIPS 201). The system supports direct connection of RS-485 biometric readers to the access control door modules. This eliminates the need for a separate RS-485 network. It provides enrollment capability within the system and eliminates the need for additional software. Eclipse 300 supports FIPS 197 AES 128-bit encryption, and biometric templates can be stored in the access control primary controller for higher security or placed on a smart card.
