McNamara
Bosch Security Systems, Fairport, N.Y., has appointed senior fire product manager Jack McNamara vice chairman of the signaling, protection and communication product group of the National Electrical Manufacturing Association (NEMA).

He will work with the group chairman and representatives of the association to promote safe product installation, innovative product development and ongoing training among members of the industry.

McNamara’s career in the fire safety industry spans more than 30 years. He has worked extensively in product development, engineering and management. McNamara has been an active member of NEMA for more than five years.

The position, which has a term of two years, is the stepping-stone to being appointed chairman of the group, which also carries a two-year term. NEMA and its signaling, protection and communication product group are the principal source of technical, training and educational information essential for the specification and manufacture of reliable life safety products, their installation, performance, maintenance and inspection.
