Reed Exhibitions’, Norwalk, Conn., ISC Event team announced the launch of a new co-located event focusing on the home automation sector. The inaugural SmartHome@ISC show-within-a-show will be incorporated into the 2006 ISC East event in New York as well as the 2007 ISC West event in Las Vegas.

With a primary focus on showcasing the latest products, solutions and technologies that are available for residential installations, the SmartHome@ISC Event will bring together the residential installers that are faced with delivering a completely integrated solution to a home.

“The core ISC audience of security integrators and installers is now being asked to deliver a more integrated solution to the residential market. In many cases it is no longer just about the security portion of an installation. These professionals need to be versed in all of the areas that are part of creating a truly integrated and automated home. As we have done at past ISC events, we want to provide a venue where the industry can explore and gain knowledge about new opportunities that are ultimately going to help grow their businesses,” said Dean Russo, group vice president of ISC Events.

The ISC Event group gains immediate support from SDM SmartHome, a newly launched publication from SDM and Security Magazine publisher BNP Media. As official media sponsor of SmartHome@ISC, SDM SmartHome will work closely with ISC to deliver security integrators, dealers and installers a comprehensive event and magazine in this rapidly growing segment.

Mark McCourt, publisher of SDM and Security Magazines said, “With the launch of SDM SmartHome Magazine and the collaboration with the ISC security events, we can provide the resources that are necessary for the industry to advance at the same pace as the needs and expectations of their customers.”

Exhibit space is available for the SmartHome@ISC event at ISC East 2006, Oct. 24-25, and the 2007 ISC West event, March 28-30. The inaugural issue of BNP Media’s SDM SmartHome Magazine will be published in August 2006, with a space reservation deadline of July 2006.
