Vector Security’s National Accounts Division, Manassas, Va., has undertaken a nationwide expansion plan, which will place regionally based offices in strategically located areas of the country.

According to NAD vice president, Joe English, the expansion project has been designed to reduce the degree of separation between the NAD project managers, their existing and prospective customers, and their nationwide network of technical service partners.

“As our customer locations grew, we realized that directing our overall operations from our Manassas, Va.-based National Service Center would reach a point where we would need greater field presence to maintain our effectiveness. Providing that increased level of presence is the goal of this project – establishing fully staffed offices in select areas of the country, especially where customer levels are highly concentrated,” said English.

The NAD appointed Jim Shepherd, manager of field operations, with the responsibility of setting each office, and hiring people to staff them. Shepherd, whose career with Vector’s National Accounts Division includes several key positions of technical administration, said, “These offices will be great for our customer base. It will enable us to provide even quicker and more efficient technical assistance to our customers since each office will have a project coordinator assigned especially to help in that region.”

Vector Security announced the appointment of two staff members, who will manage offices being opened for the first leg of the expansion project in southern California and Texas. According to Jim Shepherd, John Staph will head the southern California office. Michael Karnish will head the Texas office location.

The expansion plan also will add personnel in the Manassas, Va., office, including a new director of operations, Clay Masur.
