The Esprit TI thermal imaging system from Pelco integrates the company’s Esprit positioning system with Flir uncooled thermal camera technology. The camera uses an object’s infrared energy to produce a video image of that object and as a result does not need natural or artificial illumination to capture images, even in smoke, rain or total darkness. The technology can also be used for process detection such as checking for gas leaks in pipelines and detecting overloaded circuit breakers.
