Featuring an agenda packed with face-to-face meetings with members of Congress sandwiched between numerous networking opportunities, ESA Day on Capitol Hill is scheduled for April 28 in Washington, D.C. The festivities begin Tuesday, April 27 with sign-in in the library at the St. Gregory Hotel & Suites, followed by the GE Security Diamond Social at 6 p.m.

Wednesday’s meetings are a major part of the association’s efforts to garner support from legislative representatives on issues that are critical to the industry and public safety. These issues include ESA’s federal background check legislation, legislative approaches to the Department of Energy’s and the Environmental Protection Agency’s recent regulatory changes, opposition to the Employee Free Choice Act and support for ESA’s balanced approach for life safety.

All appointments with elected representatives will be made in advance by ESA staff. Congressional speakers, networking and social events round out the two-day visit.
Registration ends April 9. For more information, visit www.alarm.org.
