Awards were presented in front of an eager crowd inside the exhibit hall, where for the first time the program had its own section on the ISC West show floor. Eighty five products and services were entered in the NPS, with winners awarded in 14 categories along with awards for Best New Product and Judges’ Choice honors.
Sarnoff’s Iris on the Move won the Best New Product Award. Iris on the Move is an iris-recognition device that can capture an iris image at a distance of as much as 10 feet. It works while an individual is in motion and allows a throughput of as many as 30 people per minute.
“We had an outstanding group of entrants this year, making Sarnoff’s win all the more impressive,” said NPS Committee Chair Jennifer Martin. “We congratulate Sarnoff, Videx and the other winners, and we thank all of participating companies for launching their products and services in the New Product Showcase.”
CyberKey Vault from Videx received the Judges’ Choice Award, which recognizes an entry that offers an especially unique approach to a security system. The CyberKey Vault is an intelligent key cabinet that automatically programs and dispenses electronic keys and requires the use of an RFID card or PIN.
