The New York City Chapter of ASIS International (ASIS), Alexandria, Va., will host its 22^ndAnnual Security Conference and Expo on Wednesday, April 25 to Thursday, April 26 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York. The newly expanded, two-day event offers nearly 20 educational sessions and access to more than 100 product and service providers. For the first time, this year’s program includes the ASIS Global Terrorism Conference, presented as one of the conference’s four educational tracks. In addition, the CSO Roundtable 5^thAnnual Spring Conference will be co-located with ASIS NYC. ASIS Certification Reviews (CPP and PSP) will be held immediately following the event on April 27 and 28. ASIS board-certified attendees can earn credits toward recertification by attending the conference sessions and expo. 

The chapter will present its 2012 Person of the Year award to John Miller, senior correspondent for CBS News, during a special luncheon event on Thursday, April 26 at noon at the Javits Convention Center. An award-winning journalist and veteran of government, Miller served briefly within the New York City and Los Angeles Police Departments before joining the FBI. In 1998, he secured an on-air interview with Osama bin Laden.
