Hikvision released a 1.3 megapixel camera with wide dynamic range (WDR) technology, DS-2CD864FWD-E. The cameras allows users to clearly identify the object and its surroundings regardless of extreme lighting contrast conditions — such as glazed storefronts and hall entrances, among others, the company said.

Equipped with powerful Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and the enhanced Image Signal Processing (ISP) algorithm, the product can capture clear images in strong lighting contrast environments through megapixel resolution and true color reproduction. The DS-2CD864FWD-E allows enhanced imaging performance in low light scenarios with minimum illumination of 0.6Lux @ F1.2 in color mode and 0.08Lux @ F1.2 in B/W mode. In addition, 3D digital noise reduction and true day / night ensure excellent image quality regardless of time of day as well as a resolution of 1280x960. It also features onboard card storage (32GB) and supports ONVIF, PSIA and CGI protocols; Power over Ethernet (PoE) is supported as well.
