American Dynamics, part of Tyco Security Products, expanded the VideoEdge NVR product family with a desktop/mini-tower. This NVR offers users the enterprise scalability and functionality of VideoEdge in a small, simple version. Small retail stores, banks and other commercial sites with installations of two to 32 IP cameras are ideal applications. The desktop/mini-tower NVR model also is ideal for larger organizations that prefer decentralized video storage architecture. The NVR offers integrated “always-on” motion analytics and seamless “streaming” playback of recorded video. The desktop/mini-tower has built-in storage of 500 GB, 1 TB or 2 TB. It can handle up to 32 cameras with 50 Mbps maximum per recorder.
