Tri-Ed / Northern Video Distribution, based in Woodbury, N.Y., announced a partnership with Denver-based structured cabling solutions manufacturer comCables to take advantage of each company’s position in the IP convergence space.

Tri-Ed / Northern Video provides a wide variety of IP products, as well as IP training and education to help its customers succeed in the sector. The distributor also offers its IP-EZ Programming Service to provide dealers and integrators with IP cameras that are pre-programmed to a customer’s specifications and shipped to them in a plug-and-play solution — simplifying the installation process.

For its part, comCables delivers network infrastructure products, including for telecom rooms and wiring closets, as well as cable, communication outlets and interconnect cables for both copper and fiber optic applications. Its standards-based structured cabling solutions provide network infrastructure to allow low-voltage systems to be managed from any IP-enabled device.

“We’re extremely pleased to align so closely with comCables,” said Pat Comunale, president and CEO of Tri-Ed / Northern Video Distribution. “Our partnership will allow comCables to expand its national sales through our extensive distribution network. And, Tri-Ed / Northern Video can now provide customers a complete line of connectivity products, making us the one-stop-shop of choice for all their IP installation needs.”
