Honeywell announced that its VISTA line of alarm panels are now equipped with 4G communication technology. The first 4G panels, the GSMX4G and GSMV4G, follow on Honeywell’s first 4G radio based on the HSPA+ network, the LYNX Touch 5100 self-contained system introduced earlier this year. Driven by the mobile-device industry and consumer demand for speed and network and longevity, many carriers are making 4G implementations a priority over other alternatives. The new VISTA 4G radios fully integrate with Honeywell Total Connect Remote Services.
