Handheld Group launched the Algiz 10X, a rugged tablet PC designed to withstand difficult weather elements and harsh handling. Featuring a 10.1-in. touchscreen, the tablet is IP65-rated and meets stringent MIL-STD-810G military standards for protecting against dust, water, vibrations, drops, extreme temperatures and varying altitudes. The Algiz 10X weighs just 2.9 pounds and is 1.2 in. thick. It comes with a GPS receiver and WAAS/EGNOS/MSAS capability, as well as Bluetooth 4.0, WLAN 802.11 b/g/n and is WWAN Gobi 3000-ready will fully integrated modem and antennas for wireless connectivity. The tablet also includes a built-in 5-megapixel camera with LED flash. The Algiz 10X features a 64- or 128-GB SSD that can be expanded using a microSD card.
