HES, an ASSA ABLOY Group company introduced the KS100 Server Cabinet Lock, a wireless access control lock designed to provide improved security in server rooms. The KS100 leverages the company’s Aperio technology, which enables mechanical locks to be wirelessly linked to a new or existing electronic access control system. The HES KS100 uses a company’s existing credentials and ID badges to extend access control from the server room entrance door to individual server cabinets. This improves the security level of each server cabinet and adds monitoring and audit-trail capabilities to every cabinet.
