The annual Security 5K/2K run/walk to benefit Mission 500, an organization that supports children and communities in crisis through WorldVision, saw more than 700 signups and raised $90,000 to support the cause this year. Additionally, Altronix donated $2 to Mission 500 for every attendee who registered at its booth for the duration of the show, and COPS Monitoring made a donation for every attendee to the company’s Wednesday night gathering at Gilley’s at TI, and more. The industry raised more than $110,000 from the run/walk and other events, which ISC West’s Ed Several presented to Mission 500’s George Fletcher at Thursday morning’s grand opening ceremony.
