Mission 500’s #ShowOrange campaign has officially kicked off and is currently ramping up activities to support needy children in the United States.  Launched earlier this month, #ShowOrange is already reaching out through online and offline media and raising awareness and funding for Mission 500’s charity efforts. Mission 500 will be incorporating #ShowOrange into a variety of upcoming activities including the charity’s signature 5K/2K walk/run held at ISC West.

#ShowOrange is actively calling on individuals to take part and show support through social media. To get involved, participants simply take a selfie while wearing or posing with something orange (an article of clothing, accessory, etc.) on any Friday. Photos can be submitted to info@mission500.org for posting on Facebook, and each week one of the submitted photos will be highlighted on Mission 500’s #ShowOrange gallery.  Participation is free and a small gift will be given to the weekly highlighted photo. All are encouraged to follow the Facebook page, like it, and share it with friends and colleagues using the #ShowOrange hashtag to raise visibility of child poverty in the United States. Active fundraising is also an integral part of #ShowOrange, and all are encouraged to make a donation. Visit  #ShowOrange, visit www.mission500.org/showorange for details.
