Canon proposes to buy Axis for $2.83 Billion

According a press release by Axis Communications, Lund, Sweden, and various news sources, including Reuters, Canon made a 23.6 billion-Swedish-crown ($2.83 billion) offer for network video surveillance leader Axis on Tuesday, February 10, 2015. As per a press release by Axis Communications, the board of directors of Axis has decided to recommend Axis's shareholders to accept it. According to the same release, the acceptance period of the offer is expected to commence on March 3 and expected to expire on April 1, 2015.
