UK Provider Offers Intruder-Detection System in U.S. and Canada

December 2, 2015

Locked Up Security Inc. (LMS), the U.S. subsidiary of the U.K. security service provider for homes and businesses, now offers its LMS wireless intruder security system solutions in the U.S. and Canada.

The company is currently inviting security companies in both countries to add the LMS systems to their business portfolios. The LMS systems include video and audio verification for both indoor and outdoor applications. With LMS’s wireless technology, users can cover sites without wires up to a one-mile range and with up to an eight-year battery life.

“Dealers offering residential, business or commercial security systems will recognize that the plug-and-play LMS solution fills a gap in their service offerings,” said Mike Streeter, vice president of LMS. “The LMS Cloud and Remote Tool Kit also provides the security professional with the power to manage customers from anywhere in the world, while giving the customer full app control of their property.”

LMS systems have up to 64 zones, are capable of more than 120 devices, and are easy to install and operate. The wire-free instant capture — both indoor and outdoor via PIR cameras — is not plagued with the inherent problems associated with other conventional Wi-Fi/RF blend viewing-based systems, according to LMS. Highly reliable UHF transmits video bursts up to a mile with the added protection of military-based encryption.

This system also provides video for immediate analysis and quick decision-making. In addition, the outdoor cameras incorporate Octa-Quad technology with eight independent quad PIR detectors that minimize false alarms from moving trees, bushes and small wildlife, all the while quickly detecting real intruder threats.

No wired electricity is necessary other than the main in-house system panel because all devices are powered using lithium batteries that last up to eight years in some devices. The system’s smart programming enables dealer IP remote diagnostics, IP self-monitoring, remote arm and disarm, visual verification, audio and continuous 24/7 monitoring. Dealers will receive a live training webinar, ongoing technical support, IP connection for images and app, live operator monitoring and an IP connection for remote diagnostics.
