Interlogix introduced new powerful video offerings that take advantage of the advanced H.265 video compression standard, requiring less network bandwidth and hard drive space to transmit and store surveillance footage. Interlogix is part of UTC Climate, Controls and Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp. The Interlogix solution — including IP-based cameras, video recorders and updated video management system software — uses the H.265 standard to compress video data, offering the same or better video quality at a lower cost than the still widely used H.264 standard. The Interlogix H.265 product lines will include 15 TruVision IP cameras with indoor and outdoor domes, as well as box and bullet form factors; the TruVision Network Video Recorder NVR 22 series of digital video recorders; and updated TruVision Navigator video monitoring software that will support the new standard.
