Today, CEDIA has announced that Luke Williams, NYU professor and author of the international bestseller, “Disrupt: Think the Unthinkable to Spark Transformation in Your Business,” will deliver this year's CEDIA Expo Opening Keynote.

CEDIA Expo attendees can expect Williams to focus on how to tap into the disruptive mindset to differentiate their company.

"Companies need to be consistently making bold moves, even at the very peak of their success,” Williams said. “It is an essential skill for anyone in business, from a small start-up to a global corporation.”

Tabatha O'Connor, CEDIA president and CEO, adds, "Those working in the CEDIA channel are constant managers of change — but looking at how to harness the power of disruption is a new skill set that every company needs to adopt to stay ahead of the curve and to ultimately be successful."

Williams is one of the world's leading business thinkers on innovation strategy, the founder and executive director of the W.R. Berkley Innovation Labs and a fellow at Frog Design — one of the world's most influential product strategy and design firms. Williams is the inventor of 30-plus U.S. patents and has designed more than 100 products in industries ranging from transportation to finance, and healthcare to consumer electronics.

He has also worked with leading companies across the globe and is a dynamic and sought-after management speaker, having lectured in 21 countries and addressed the United Nations General Assembly and the World Innovation Forum.

The 2019 CEDIA Expo Opening Keynote is free for CEDIA Expo attendees and will take place on Wednesday, September 11 at 5:30 p.m. at the Denver Convention Center.
