ASIS International, an association for security management professionals, announced their education lineup for Global Security Exchange (GSX) 2019, taking place September 8-12 in Chicago. The slate includes more than 300 sessions organized into 17 subject matter tracks.
“GSX is the premier event for education and enrichment of the global security community,” said Kenneth D. Ribler, GSX 2019 call for presentations selection committee chair. “Each year, we work for months to find the best, most informative speakers and subject matter to present to our audience. This year is no exception, and I feel confident that we have designed the best educational program ever for our attendees.”
The GSX session lineup addresses a wide variety of topics vital to today's security professional, delivered in immersive formats like small group workshops, simulations, deep dives and more. The tracks — ranging from business continuity, managing organizations and enterprise security risk management to crime prevention, national security and digital transformation — enable attendees to find the sessions most relevant to their own educational and organizational needs.
ASIS International has engaged 220+ speakers from diverse professional backgrounds to deliver the peer-driven education program. From Department of Homeland Security personnel to CSOs and CISOs, the presenters cross the range of industries and responsibilities related to security.
The first announced general session, “Geopolitics and Security,” will be delivered by General John Kelly, U.S. Marine Corps (RET), to kick off Military & Law Enforcement Appreciation Day on Wednesday, September 11.
