AMG, a UK designer and manufacturer of ethernet transmission products, announced that Ziyu Yan has joined the company as vice president of engineering, and will form part of the management team leading AMG’s engineering efforts.

Yan has worked in the field of ethernet transmission for many years, spending the last 12 years employed by ComNet as principal engineer. In this position, Yan designed and developed the majority of products that ComNet brought to market. His knowledge and skills in design and engineering will allow him to quickly integrate into an already competent development team at AMG.

“I’m delighted to join a dynamic team with a track record of creating innovative products,” Yan said. “Continued investment by AMG in new technology and software will significantly reduce the time to take products from concept to production.”

Commenting on the new VP appointment, AMG Managing Director Steve Clarke said, “Our other directors and myself here at AMG have worked with Ziyu in the past and we are delighted that he has joined the AMG team. His skills and experience in the field of ethernet transmission are first class and will ensure that AMG is well placed to rapidly increase the release of new and exciting products to the market”
