Every year around this time I see a meme go around social media about the weather. Unless you live somewhere that is perpetually warm, you have likely seen it.

Boon Edam Inc., booth 8037, announced a significant new expansion of their North Carolina offices. In the first quarter of 2022 the company is opening a new headquarters location in downtown Raleigh, NC. Today, Thursday, March 24, Oakland County Sheriff Michael J. Bouchard will give a keynote presentation at 8:45 a.m. in Venetian Ballroom F. Bouchard will aim to give attendees perspective on mass shooting response and recovery efforts in the aftermath of the Oxford High School active shooter incident in November 2021. 

The Mission 500 Security 5K/2K run/walk will be held in-person beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 24 in conjunction with ISC West. Proceeds from this fundraiser go to help children in need across the United States.

From the moment the Security Industry Association (SIA) opened the submission process for this year’s SIA New Products & Solutions (NPS) Awards — formerly the SIA New Product Showcase Awards — in late 2021, entries began rolling in, and more than 55 companies submitted their products for consideration. This afternoon, they’ll learn if their hard work paid off when the winners of the 2022 SIA NPS Awards are announced.

This morning, Rosemary Vassiliadis, Director of Aviation at the Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) in Las Vegas, will take the stage to speak with ISC West attendees about how aviation security technology advancements are streamlining LAS operations and business continuity. Vassiliadis will conduct the opening keynote for ISC West at 8:45 a.m. in Venetian Ballroom F.
