Supreme Security Systems Inc., a private electronic security company ranked No. 53 on the SDM 100, today announced its acquisition of T&R Alarm Systems Inc. As part of this acquisition, Supreme will absorb its 300 customers in the New Jersey area and five T&R employees.

A criminal complaint was unsealed in a Brooklyn federal court today charging Aventura Technologies, a New York-based surveillance and security equipment company, and seven current and former employees, with selling Chinese-made equipment with known cyber security vulnerability to government and private customers, while claiming the equipment was made in the U.S.

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company ranked No. 56 on the SDM 100, announced the acquisition of Advent Systems Inc. — a low-voltage integrator of IP video, access control, structured cabling and audio/visual systems based in Elmhurst, Ill. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Guardian Alarm, Michigan’s largest independently held security company, announced a partnership with the Detroit Pistons, the company’s hometown Detroit NBA team.
