The Monitoring Association (TMA) has named Cooperative Response Center Inc.’s (CRC) Laura Jacobson, central station coordinator at CRC’s Austin, Minn., facility, TMA’s 2017 Support Person of the Year.

Evolve.” ESX was held in Nashville June 12-16, and most agreed this is a great venue. Next year’s event will return to Nashville, June 19-22, 2018, an announcement that was met with cheers.

The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) has recognized Engineered Protection Systems Inc. in Grand Rapids, Mich., with its 2016-17 Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) award. The PDQ award is given to the company that promotes best practices working with law enforcement to reduce the number of unnecessary dispatches to alarm customers. The award was presented at the ESX - Public Safety and Networking Luncheon at ESX on June 16th in Nashville, Tenn.

Habitec Security, ranked No. 53 on the SDM 100, has acquired three companies: Sentinel Alarm Company of Columbus, Ohio; MetaSECURE, a division of MetaLINK, of Defiance, Ohio; and Central Security & Electronics of Traverse City, Mich. The acquisitions allow Habitec to grow in all three of their branch offices.
