After 46 years as a business owner, Bill Niehoff, previous owner of NICO Electronic Systems, has decided to retire and has entrusted Mountain Alarm Fire and Security to take over and serve NICO’s customers.
The addition of CEI Alarm comes three months since Mountain Alarm’s acquisition of the largest alarm company in Reno Nev., Burgarello Alarm. This is their seventh acquisition in the last two years.
Though the economy is slowly picking up and more dealers are reporting a favorable outlook for 2011 — 82 percent of SDM 100 companies expect improvements over the next year — 2010 still saw companies struggling to keep their bottom lines from dropping.
