Crest Electronics Inc. introduced its Full HD IP Plug & Play System, featuring a complete line of IP cameras, including mini box, indoor and outdoor domes and IR bullet styles.
Underscoring the impact apps are having on the entire ProAV marketplace, Stampede Presentation Products Inc., Amherst, N.Y., a ProAV distributor, announced that more than 2,000 dealers have downloaded the company’s Big Book of AV app for iPhone®, iPad®, and Android® devices — an achievement made even more remarkable by the fact that the app was introduced less than two months ago, according to Stampede President and COO Kevin Kelly.
I use an Android phone. I also use apps. So I was happy to see new research stating that Android has overtaken Apple with a 44 percent worldwide share of mobile app downloads. Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against Apple; it is just that research like this indicates a continued emphasis from companies to produce more apps for Android, and that means more apps I can chose from.
