Smartvue® Corporation announced that it will provide video surveillance solutions for Western Digital (WD)®. The solutions will expand the capabilities of the My Cloud™ EX2 and My Cloud™ EX4 NAS devices and allow them to also work as business-grade video surveillance systems with cloud-enabled features. WD customers will be able to connect video surveillance cameras to each NAS device.

Western Digital (NYSE: WDC) and Hitachi Ltd. (NYSE: HIT / TSE:6501) announced today that they entered into a definitive agreement whereby WD will acquire Hitachi Global Storage Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd., in a cash and stock transaction valued at approximately $4.3 billion.
